We
have so far managed to get more than 10.000 of the poorest
children into education: all completing at lest basic
education, most, primary, many, seondary. Some have even gone
on to earn university degrees.
|
We
have been able to achieve this through the dedicted and cretive
involvement of more than 2,000 volunteers, a talented staff
of more than 800 (over time), generous donations of materials
and funds (mostly unsolicited). Thankyou to all of youl.

OKay,
it is one thing to offer to educate a poor woman's children,
but if she cannot
afford to lose their small income (because most very poor children
must work to survive), then we must first help her earn more
herself. Thist we have done: trained and micro financed 100s
of poor women - most bwcame successful micro-entrepreneurs.

We
co-ordinated university students, the press and lots of volunteers
+ our own students to pressure Governments to include the
unregistered, poorest 25% of their children in the state education
system. CLICK
[NOTE] In 2009, The Gov't of Peru invited us to
collaborate with the Ministry of Education in most Peruvian
cities, setting up informal schools such as ours, which they
would then operate. Plus they offered to staff our schools
in Lima, Cusco and Chiclayo. [From one day to next we went
from pest to partner] "Mission
Accomplished".

We
served 10s of 1000s of meals, gave 100s of dental & medical
