Our campaign:
"DON'T FEEL SORRY FOR STREET CHILDREN!" is beginning
to pick up momentum in centres where lots of international tourists
are encountering Argentina's child laborers on a daily
basis. The object of the campaign is to recruit volunteers from
the tourist population who visit Argentina each year, |

What
the devil is going on in Trujillo?! In the last news update
we announced the opening of a second centre. But now it is closed
- why?

For only the
second time since John F. Kennedy came to office bringing the Peace
Corps with him has the Third World had so much at stake in a US election.
The other time was four years ago, but the poor did not know then
what they were in for - they do now. If making the entire world care
passionately about the outcome of a presidential election is promoting
Democracy, then George W. Bush has a lot to be proud of: because virtually
everyone on the planet would like to be able to vote in next month's
US election. Few, however, are saying which way they would vote -
they don't want to provoke xenophobic Billy Bob and Wanda to vote
the other way.
Billions of little fingers crossed. |
