Ana Tere, Bruce and Nicole search for property in Cajamarca to start Bruce PEru Cajamarca 2002 2002 - Ana Teresa Rosell (President, Bruce Peru), Nicole D'Amecourt (President of Agenda SOS International) and Bruce Thornton (founder of both) visit Cajamarca 3 times seeking a suitable property from the Alcalde or Bishop.............01.2004 Incawasi
We propose to work together with The Daughters of Charity, who are very interested, but not yet ready for us. So we named Alvaro Arce our legal representative, and begin looking to rent..

02.2004 - ; Bruce Peru rents a suitable house on Tarapaca, and we begin converting it to our program ............... 03.2004 Incawasi(thanks to the great carpentry skills of Georg).Everything to start was shipped up from Trujillo. We start recruiting local volunteers, bring up a social worker. Georg makes partitions, more furniture.

Recruiting Street Children - Work begins in earnest to find and recruit street kids to come to our centre....First Directors Incawasi
Jean-Francois and Joannie from Quebec prove the perfect choice as founding directors for the project. Soon it is running smoothly.

04.2004 - We dedicate Bruce Peru Cajamarca with the help of a popular priest and the mother superior of Daughters of Charity.
We already have 30 children eating, studying and playing in the centre with our volunteers and professionals..... Our Children Incawasi

Then one or two who came with the intent of starting or taking over a project like ours, took over our first children's centre, at first agreeing to continue to serve children not already in school. Originally called themselves "C-Peru", now "Incawasi"
