This month we served free meals to more and more street children; between breakfast and lunch we served 3,336 meals to the children. We are bracing for the start of summer, when we expect two or three hundred children a meal to turn up on our doorstep. This month, when a child finished eating, he or she was invited to participate in the activities we have for them: medical, sports, education, computers, a visit to our psychologist, a word with our social worker, or just some warm friendship from one of our volunteers. I am making this sound well organized, and in fact it does not look too bad on paper, but the reality often more closely resembles loving chaos. Still, many children are growing, improving and getting healthy.
