Working for Bruce Peru was a wonderful and edifying experience for me both personally and professionally. It gave me the chance to get involved in a project that was highly enjoyable and that I felt could really make a difference to children's lives. The work included a wide range of activities, from preparing and giving classes to visiting homes and talking to families, and above all interacting with young children in need of attention and help. As a result I learned a great deal about a culture and way of life very different to my own. On top of this, the atmosphere of the BrucePeru centres was lively and friendly: I worked with a great group of people around me. 
I can therefore recommend volunteering at Bruce Peru to anyone with an interest in teaching, working with children, learning about a Latin American country or just someone who would like to contribute a little personal help to a place that desperately needs it.
