Free Medical Service
Weekends
we now offer free medical service to Street Childrenand abandoned mothers....
July 2002
With the help of a number of doctors and nurses from local
Evangelical churches we are now able to give free medical attention to
people who are otherwise unable to affors helth care. In addition to treating
speciffic complainte we also offer general examinations and preventive
medicine.

A
child is born
For
three months we looked after an abandoned expectant mother who we found
sleeping in a park. On July 24
at 6:AM she gave birth. Bruce delivered a healthy baby boy, Juan
Daniel, with Matilde in attendence. The baby is now with our friends in
Hogar de Esperanza. |

Flying
dentists return
Michael
and Maria Sigler ant their three children returned to treat our children,
mothers and volunteers....
July 2002
Mother and Father are dentists in Kansas City, the three
chikldren are students in schools there: together they form a loving flying
team of dentists and assistants. Our children love them..

Night
at the Ballet
Eusebio,
ex-street kid turned ballet dancer and master instructor presented the
students of our academy and members of his company in a glittering performance
at the Municipal Theatre....

The troup of the academy, Vision of the Dance, is made
up of street kids, students and professional dancers. The audience gave
them a standing ovation...

Psychological
therapy
Our
staff of Psycologists conducted a day
of counselling for some of our abandoned mothers the first week end of July.
Normally they go to the mothers' homes, but with more
than 900 mothers and only 4 Psycologists - |

Making
our own circus
Some
of the kids of Albergue Nicole D'Amecourt are learning Circus arts.
Zui, a professional circus performer from Belgium is teaching them.

National
University at Zaguan
When the National University of Trujillo held their six day
forum on higher education for the heads of universities in the north of
Perú they contracted our new Cafe Zaguan to provide catering services
and facilities. Everyone was delighted with the quality of the cuisine
and service. July 2002

Prizes
for Street Children
This month we initiated a weekly contest in which the street
kids participate in one or more of our programs and enter their names
in a raffle.On Fridays we draw out three names and the winners receive
rizes ranging from art materials and clothes to educational games.

Transitions
Anatere
Rosell Grigalba is now our President, (Bruce, only our
founder). Our popular German volunteer, Katharina, left
after 4 months to continue her odesy. New volunteers are
joining every week. .
